Eats:Vancouver Island marmots are strictly herbivores, feeding on over 50 plantspecies.Huckleberries,kinnikinnick fruit, cow parsnip, asters, tiger lilies, Phylox, sweet peas, and woolly sunflowers. During the spring they feed mainly on grasses and early-blooming flowers, and during the summer they feed on practically anything: flowers, grasses, leaves, and fruit. Water is obtained from the dew collected on the plants they eat.

Repruduction: Vancouver island marmots mate onder ground. The vancouver island marmot leave their colony in the spring to find a mate at age 2-3 at the same time they also reach sexual maturity. They start a colony consisting of 1 male and more females. and start breeding in the spring. the female dilivers a litter of 3-4 pups.

A Vancouver Island Marmot only lives in Canada Vancouver Island B.C. They are the most endangerd speices in Canada.
